a Cairns elopement & micro wedding event

An elopement is where it is just you and your partner who are at your wedding ceremony.

We will provide two witnesses that are needed for the official documents to marry you.

This can be ideal if you don’t want fuss during your wedding day, perhaps don’t like speaking in front of people and/or don’t want to try and choose who to invite to the ceremony. Afterwards you could then choose to include your family and friends in your day by having a party (reception) to celebrate instead.

A micro-wedding is very similar to a normal wedding but only includes a very small amount of guests, often just immediate family.

Like the elopement, you can always choose to include more of your family and friends in your wedding day by holding a party (reception) to celebrate with them after your ceremony.

As we will be getting married in the rainforest, this could happen. We will have two clear umbrellas on hand for rain bursts or for photos, however if it is a rainy day we can hold the ceremony under the veranda to keep you dry and still offer views of the creek and gardens.

If you decide you would like guests at your wedding, you have two packages to choose from. You can choose our small guest package with up to 8 guests for $4000 or our large package with up to 16 guests for $4500.

The reason for the two packages is that this is a small venue and our venue assistant needs to negotiate, organise and curate the arrivals and departures of guests, along with guiding them to where the ceremony is and taking care of any other needs that arise. After our first elopement event in 2024, we quickly realised that the more guests at your micro-wedding, the more time consuming this is for our venue assistant and the rest of the team.

It is important you choose the correct package for the correct amount of guests you will be having or you might be charged an extra fee. If you have children they are included in this guest number. If you are unsure about what package suits you, please reach out.

Please be aware however, that guests will need to stand as there will be no seating provided.

Guests will also need to arrive 15 minutes prior to the time and leave immediately after group photos to ensure there is parking space for the next couple and their guests if they chose to have them.

Yes, other people will get married on the day, this is what allows us to offer our services at such an amazing price. There will be a half hour time buffer between each couple’s package to help ensure privacy and space at the venue. If you have any concerns about this, please let us know.

We are currently taking bookings for our October 2026 ‘Rainforest Romance’ event that is being held on Saturday 10th of October, 2026.

We will be offering packages at 9:30am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.

Packages are for approximately 1 and a bit hours.

The ‘Rainforest Romance’ event is being held at a private retreat at Bellenden Kerr on Harvey Creek. It is about 40 minutes outside of Cairns. If you would like more information please contact us.

This is your wedding and although your package includes the capturing of your day, you can spend the rest of your time after your ceremony how you would like. If you just want a couple of snaps of you of your partner together and then want to opt for a nibbles platter to sit and enjoy in the gorgeous setting that your venue is, you can absolutely do that. Let us know your preferences and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Yes absolutely, hair and make-up can be added to either package for $400.

Yes, all other people included in your wedding are counted as 'guests'. The only people who are not described as guests is you and your partner. Package 1 is a true elopement package and is only for you and your partner. We can also supply witnesses for all packages.
