Our ‘Hitched at Hinchinbrook’ North Queensland elopement and micro-wedding event has been created to include everything you need to officially get married, including a gorgeous venue with an amazing ceremony backdrop, a beautiful personalised ceremony and a short photography session to capture the moments.
You are also able to choose if you would like to elope, just the two of you, or invite your nearest and dearest and get married in a micro-wedding setting.
There are four packages to choose from to suit your wedding vision and budget.
How does it work?
Our ‘Hitched at Hinchinbrook’ North Queensland micro wedding event has been created to offer couples a no-fuss way to get married. Our packages take care of the ceremony and ‘official’ part of your day, including wedding portraits, and family photos if desired. This means there is a minimal amount of planning on your behalf, you just get to arrive and say ‘I do!’.
Our 'Hitched at Hinchinbrook' will take place on September 12th, 2026.
Our beautiful venue, Vista Hinchinbrook, is about 13 minutes out of Ingham, an hour and half from Townsville and 2 and half hours from Cairns CBD.
You will arrive for your time slot (either 15 minutes beforehand or at the designated time you are given if you chose the hair and make-up package), where you will be greeted and directed to your ceremony. You will then be shown to your ceremony space where you will exchange beautiful words and marry your best friend! Afterwards you will spend some time having your wedding day captured with your photographer, and group photos if you opted for guests. The whole process takes about 1 and a half hours.
Then what?
The beauty of an elopement or a micro-wedding is that it is totally up to you!
You could:

Hold a party for your reception and invite all your friends and family to celebrate the rest of your day with you (which is totally fun for them because there’s no waiting around for you guys while you do all the other parts of your wedding day like photos and travel).

Go to dinner with your nearest and dearest

Enjoy something for just the two of you to celebrate the rest of your day.

Or you could start your Honeymoon ASAP!
There are of course many destination options on offer with our venue location too! You can be back in Townsville or Cairns ready to party at a venue in town, you could take a trip up to Mission Beach and enjoy a slow relaxed reception (we really dig the Garage for food and brews!), or you could stay local and find somewhere in Ingham or Cardwell to host your celebrations - whatever your style, you'll find a way to celebrate!
