What is an elopement?

An elopement is where it is just you and your partner who are at your wedding ceremony. We will provide two witnesses that are needed for the official documents to marry you. This can be ideal if you don’t want fuss during your wedding day, perhaps don’t like speaking in front of people and/or don’t want to try and choose who to invite to the ceremony. Afterwards you could then choose to include your family and friends in your day by having a party (reception) to celebrate instead.

What is a micro wedding?

A micro-wedding is very similar to a normal wedding but only includes a very small amount of guests, often just immediate family.Like the elopement, you can always choose to include more of your family and friends in your wedding day by holding a party (reception) to celebrate with them after your ceremony.

What happens if it rains?

We have a beautiful large deck that we can use at the Heritage Centre if it is raining to keep everyone dry during the ceremony.We will also have two clear umbrellas on hand for photos, which can make magical props in your portraits!

How many guests can I have?

Accepted Answer

The amount of guests you can have at your ceremony depends on the package you choose. Please make sure you choose the right one that allows for as many guests as you would like.Guests need to please only arrive 15 minutes prior to your ceremony so that the space can be managed and ensure a smooth outcome for all brides and grooms involved.

Guests will then stay for group photos after the ceremony and some 'congratulations' time if the schedule permits (which is often dependent on how many group photos you would like).
Please note: If you have children they are included in the guest numbers.

Do other people get married on the day?

Yes, other people will get married on the day, this is what allows us to offer our services at such an amazing price. There will be a half hour time buffer between each couple’s package to help ensure privacy and space at the venue. If you have any concerns about this, please let us know.

Question 6

What dates are the ‘Hitched at the Heritage' event available on?

We are currently taking bookings for our first two dates of 'Hitched at the Heritage'.We have one date during off-season on March 13th, 2027. Due to this being during wet season we are offering 10% off all packages.Our next event is in June on the 5th, 2027.

What times are available?

We will be offering packages at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.Packages are for approximately 1 and a half hours.

Question 8

What if you we don’t like photos or don’t want 30 minutes of photos?

Accepted Answer

This is your wedding and although your package includes the capturing of your day, you can spend the rest of your time after your ceremony how you would like. If you just want a couple of snaps of you of your partner together and then want to opt for drinks with your guests or a nibbles platter to sit and enjoy in the gorgeous setting that your venue is, you can absolutely do that. Let us know your preferences and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Can we add on hair and make-up to Package 1?

Yes absolutely, hair and make-up can be added to any package for $440.

Question 10

Do my children or witnesses count as guests?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all other people included in your wedding are counted as 'guests'. The only people who are not described as guests is you and your partner. Package 1 is a true elopement package and is only for you and your partner. We can also supply witnesses for all packages.
